2016 olympics have already started…
You would not believe it but while everybody has their attention focussed on the coming olympic games in China, designers are already working on 2016 olympics…
Indeed all these applicant cities have already been pre selectionned and the final winner will be chosen on the 2nd of October, 2009. Could you imagine design a logo 7 years in advance?
Designers in charge had to take initiative, be creative and most of all visionary. Having a look back at the latest logos used during Olympic games shows us how original the designers should be. Considering that the rings are not allowed in a applicant city logo that is always a challenge! Logos should be inventive but taking the risk to create a too particular design would mean a lot for a city… We all saw the reactions about the London logo…
Personally I prefer the Spanish one but who knows if colors and round shapes will be in fashion in 2016? So what is your opinion? Which one is your favorite?
I like the one of Baku, however I miss a bit of colour, and I like the one of Tokyo too…
But I agree with you it is pretty difficult to tell how will it be in a few years already for me… By the way what is your opinion about the logo of London?

Well, I would say that it is not my favorite…
I cannot manage to see the meaning behind it. The font used for the “London” word is too simple for me, and the only idea I get when I watch this logo is “mess”.
Though it was supposed to be an original design of the date 2012. Well, at least they managed to do that!
