Useful blogging tools

In previous articles we have spoken about your editorial line and then about your style. All these apparent small details are indeed really important for your readers and will define who keeps reading your articles and who goes away.

But what if we could get help for that? With some tips, useful links and a great application, Would blogging be that difficult?

First things first, English. Yes, coming from a French speaking blogger writing in English that may sound weird however Lorelle explained it well in one of her posts: as a blogger you face challenges when looking for THE idea but also when finding the right way to convey these ideas. I consequently advise you to go through her great post, full of useful links and tips. You will learn how to find the good words, how to check your common English mistakes but also how to cope with acronyms and smilies.

Then I personnaly would like to advise you a blogging tool that should become your best friend while blogging:

Zemanta is a powerful blogging tool developed first as an extension to Firefox then for Internet Explorer as well. It works with WordPress as well as with Blogger, Drupal, Typepad and Movale Type. All what you have to do is to install the extension for Firefox (I won’t speak about Internet Explorer: Unless you are browsing the web on a cell phone or at work where you cannot update your browser, there is no excuse to be running a browser that do not respect international standards)!

Then this tool adds tabs directly within your blogging software and suggests you links, tags, articles and pictures according to what you are writing. Have a look below:

Now you do not have any more excuses! Thanks to Lorelle and Zemanta, blogging will be easier than ever!
