This post may seem a bit strange considering the other one I wrote a few days ago about the possible end of Premium wordpress themes. In fact, it is a direct question that every theme designer should ask himself in order to anticipate and face every new trend appearing in the near future.
As you may know, this last year has seen the development of a new kind of wordpress themes: the magazine themes. They have shown that the famous blogging platform could be much more and compete with many other CMS thanks to its easy customizable themes.
As you may have realized my design is not completely finished (I’d better say “not completely started” right now). I am working on my home page for a few days, and I cannot manage to find a proper solution to display one post only, one I would choose, on my home page. I have searched a lot on Google and on some wordpress designer blogs, but I do not find anything satisfying…
For a few months now, I have added smashingmagazine.com to my feed reader and have enjoyed the numerous articles published there about Wordpress and web design in general. And today I have discovered one of their new projects which could be definitely interesting for all of you who are living or who would like to live from web design.
A few weeks ago, Veerle Pieters announced a new competition starting and involving everybody who wanted to express themselves on the following question: What is graphic design?
