My Work
During the last years, I have spent time working for others. Sometimes for some of my friends, most of the time to answer requests from associations or persons. In that section, I will try to show you some examples of what I have done.
Some of my work was designed to be printed
I worked for two different associations organzing LAN and online gaming events on the North of France. My role was to design the poster that was then printed and displayed in the cities around to advertize the upcoming events. Here below are two examples of the posters I designed for them:
As you may guess, the two most important games were Counter Strike and Trackmania. However the organisers wanted the reader to be able to check all the other games that you could play there. The poster was satisfying for the organisers, so they asked to update this first work for the second edition of the LAN event.
This work was a bit different of the first one, because the games were not the same and the organisers wished to attract a younger public. They wanted an attractive poster, with vivid colors and a clear content like for the other association.
I also design layouts for websites
When I started to try myself at webdesigning, I chose to design simple HTML pages first. You can see one example below, with Ice Kdo, online gaming website. The main subject is obvious here.
However these last months I chose to focus myself on CMS theme designing. After a few trials with Joomla, I began dealing with Wordpress themes. The result is this website. It is in continuous improvement, as I get to know the different possibilities that this blogging platform can offer. I hope to be able to offer you some of my work to download soon!
Logos are a great way to develop your imagination
When designing logos, you have got to respect and follow rules and indications given by the client, but there is a place for your imagination, and that may be this personal touch that could make the difference between your comcurrents and yourself.
When I started to design the UELN logo, my indications were clear and precise. However I also proposed something different because my ideas had been a bit differet from the first orders. Good idea though, that was this logo that was chosen to represent the association, as you can see on their website now.
Working is the best way of learning…
That is why this section will get bigger and bigger avery month, every time I will be able to work on a new project!
